AKP provides medical supplies and equipment to resource-limited communities throughout the world
The AKP Global Medical Assistance Program delivers medical supplies and medical equipment to severely resource-limited communities. By shipping donated health care resources to our partner communities, AKP helps to save lives, makes diagnosis and treatment possible, protects health workers and ensures better outcomes for surgery and emergency care.
AKP works with the U.S.-based non-profit Project C.U.R.E to support the shipment of medical supplies and equipment to the following countries:
- Cambodia (one cargo container)
- Myanmar (C.U.R.E. Kits)
- Tanzania (C.U.R.E. Kits)
- Uganda (four cargo containers)
- Zambia (three cargo containers)
Project C.U.R.E.’s Cargo program delivers 40-foot cargo containers carrying between $350,000 – $400,000 worth of donated medical supplies and equipment to under-resourced hospitals, clinics, and community health centers in developing countries. C.U.R.E. Kits are smaller, localized medical supply medical kits for missions.
